| Simple songs to sing from a heart of devotion and praise throughout the day:

A word the Lord put on my heart today when I was praying, Matthew 9:13
"But go and learn what this means: ' I DESIRE COMPASSION, AND NOT SACRIFICE,' for I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners."
I began to see the faces of New York city in a new light. Jesus loves everybody all the time. Jesus did not come to condemn the world, but as it stands, the world does not know the love of God because of the deceitfulness of sin and hardness of heart. But we must show the compassion, Jesus desires, for it is "the kindness of the Lord that leads us to repentace."(Rom 9) Thank you Jesus, Amen. | | |
| A heart of faith in God and His promises only makes sense according to the miracles of this world seen in creation, seen in a marriage, seen in Jesus Christ, seen in the truth of His word which we know is good and true because of the testimony of prophecy and solid empiricle evidence, and not only that, but the testimony of the work of Jesus in peoples lives - the testimony of the power of God.
A fool says in his heart, "there is no God." He decieves himself and knows nothing.
God is good. Jesus is God and God is mighty.
These things are all true.
PRaise God.
MAy we live and walk in the truth.
May we rest in His compassion and love.
Thanks be to God, may we serve Him with our heart and every breath.

How can we go on with out Him?
Yet, so little time we make to be with Him.
He is alive, no?
Oh, how I need Him. Yet I hate saying it. Yet it is what makes me feel better at the same time - that I need Him. Takes me into reality and reality is that He is all I need. So in saying that I need Him I get what I need because He is always near.

Yet, "The heart is decietfully wicked, who can understand it?" Isaiah.
I am sick of a wandering and wavering heart. I am sick of a sad heart. It makes me angry. I want to cry. I love to cry. Yet, who can be a friend? Who is the one who could understand? Many people I know and am well aquainted with but, oh how we wade in the shallow waters of friendship. Yet my heart can pour out and somehow it is unsatisfied. Where is my soul? Where is who I am? Its lost in ... hmm, .
Christ. Need to know Him more.
My destiny in Him.
A whole heart. A fully righteaous heart. A love filled heart. A pure heart. A compassionaate heart.
Jesus Jesus we love you so. Kiss us with the words of Your mouth. Shine the light of Your countinance upon us.
Protect our hearts.

Gods love is so good. We must tell the world. We must fashion our lives around this gospel.
Tonight, I was sinning and lusting, because I longed for love and I could not feel Gods love. I knew that He loved me, but I just needed to feel close to someone. My roomate came into the room and brought reality back into my mind and caused my sinning to turn to repentance. Then, I went for a drive, and as I got down town, where the people were, the songs on KTIS were making me feel comforted by Gods love. And then I was reminded that it was Jesus' food to do the will of "Him who sent me" (John 4:34). This was his food! Ah, how stagnant we can get when we go to a Christian colllege and do not get out among the lost. I began to remember where I came from. It was revealed to me the vanity of the life these drunk people were living, these people that stand around by there cars. They are all living in sin and carousing, but they are looking for love. They are looking for love!!!! In all the wrong places, they are looking for love. If they only knew the truth of Gods grace and His love for them. "For God SO LOVED THE WORLD that he gave His one and only Son, that who ever would believe in Him would not perish, but have eternal life." I want to go down to the city again. If you want to come with me, I just walk around and pray for the people and the city and talk to the Father and try to listen to what He wants me to do. But just to be there with these people, and be in the love of God. We can bring the love of God to them by loving them ourselves, in not condeming them, but proclaiming the wonderful grace of God in Christ Jesus. This is truly our food. This is where we will thrive as Christians. This is who we are! This is our calling and God has made us for it and He is with us when wherever we go.
